Whether you are a hobby breeder or a facility breeder, sugar gliders are huge responsibility!  It is at this point that good record keeping becomes increasingly important--not only for organizational purposes, but to insure that everyone stays healthy and happy!

How can you keep track of your glider families efficiently, with the right information you need? Several things can be implemented, such as a quality tagging program, database driven information on your computer, and--available following this article, a glider charting program.

The Glider Wellness Charting Program may be implemented by anyone--regardless of the number of sugar gliders you have.  It will help you to keep track of overall glider health, as well as give you an opportunity to jot down anything unusual or unique about your individual gliders.

How do you implement the Glider Wellness Charting Program? First of all, download or print out several copies of the Glider Wellness Chart using Adobe, or, if you prefer, the Microsoft Word version   These should be double-sided, the front side is the chart, the back side is the key.  Then, familiarize yourself with the categories of the chart, using the key.  

After this, take a look at the sample chart that has been completed. As you can see, this will be a great way to keep track of things on paper.
